FAQ’s

When will we be allowed on site?

We allow access Thursday to Monday to allow ample time for a seamless set up before the big day and a relaxing take down after the big day.

On the day of your wedding, you will have exclusive access to the grounds all day until the gates close at midnight. However we do ask guests to refrain from entering the formal gardens in front of the Manor house after 8pm as this is a private residence.

Is car parking available?

With 50 acres of land, we have plenty of car parking available on site for guests, this will be on a field near the site of the wedding. We also allow cars to be parked over night on the night of your wedding, but request that they are removed by 12pm the following day.

How many guests can we have?

As many as you like provided the marquee can catering company of your choice can accommodate. We can certainly accommodate weddings of 200 people as guide.

Do we need to hire a generator?

We have three-phase electricity available next to the lake, which should be sufficient for all your electrical needs.

What kind of entertainment can we have?

You can have your own band or DJ. We do ask that your band/DJ provide an insurance certificate and proof that their equipment is PAT tested. Drum kits should be placed on an insulated mat to keep the sound to acceptable level. All music should finish by midnight.

Do you have accommodation?

We have space to accommodate luxury glamping / tipis on site. if this is something you wish to pursue, please ask. We also have several local hotels in the area and a list can provided. We are also located within a 30-minute drive of both Nottingham City Centre and Grantham.

Can we provide our own bar?

Yes, absolutely. If you require a cash bar, we will have to apply for a licence in time for the event, alternatively if this is a free bar, a licence isn’t required. We can also recommend individual bar suppliers and the majority of catering companies prefer to the supply the bar as well as the food.

What are the payment terms?

we ask for a 50% deposit to secure your booking and the remainder to be paid 12 weeks before the big day. In addition we do also ask for a £500 damages deposit, in case of any damage or breakages to any of the property.
